Massage Therapy manipulates the soft tissues of your body-muscle, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and skin. In a customized massage there will be varying degrees of pressure and techniques used on specific regions of the body that you request in your unique initial patient assessment.

Myofascial Cupping Massage

• $10 add on to any service

Silicone cups are placed on the skin creating a strong lifting effect. The superficial muscle layer is drawn up into the cup. This action stimulates circulation of blood, breaks up adhesions and creates a pathway for toxins to be drawn out of the body through the lymphatic system. Myofascial cupping increases circulation, increases joint range of motion, reduces muscle tension, increases connective tissue mobility and increases lymphatic drainage.

Prenatal Massage

A prenatal massage adapts to the anatomical changes that your body goes through during your pregnancy. Gravitate Massage Therapy offers a side lying prenatal massage position with a specialized cushioning system to make you the utmost comfortable. This position is a great way to access your hips, SI joint, glutes and lower back. Specific care is taken to make your comfort the highest priority. In prenatal massage special considerations are taken into account for all things related to your pregnancy and your prenatal history.

Minor Massage Therapy

Because minors need massages too! Great care is taken at Gravitate Massage Therapy for the child’s comfort and security in their introduction to the wonderful world of professional massage therapy. Guardians are required to accompany the child for the duration of the treatment. Depending on the comfort level of all parties guardians can enter the treatment room or be waiting close by in the lounge area. We look forward to seeing you both.
